My client are a growing and established giftware & wholesale company based in Oldham, due to exciting expansion, they are currently looking for a Senior Buyer to join their office based team.
The Role
Identifying, sourcing and developing a range of products within the toy & gift categories
Lead negotiations for all products and manage supplier relationships
Analyse and maintain stock levels to optimise sales
Maintaining and update pricing and product data
Ensuring company margin requirements are achieved
Work closely with Sales, Design & QA
Work with suppliers across the Globe
Track & identify market trends
Work with licensed products and understand licensing requirements
Experience
Previous buying experience ideally within the toy, gift or homewares industry, however experience within licensed products or wholesale will be considered
Extensive knowledge of products and supply chain
Knowledge of licensing
Accountability for company margins
Negotiation skills and the ability to network and influence people
Excellent communication skills, internal and external
Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
Commercial awareness
Creative & design led
