​My client are a growing and established giftware & wholesale company based in Oldham, due to exciting expansion, they are currently looking for a Senior Buyer to join their office based team.

The Role

  • Identifying, sourcing and developing a range of products within the toy & gift categories

  • Lead negotiations for all products and manage supplier relationships

  • Analyse and maintain stock levels to optimise sales

  • Maintaining and update pricing and product data

  • Ensuring company margin requirements are achieved

  • Work closely with Sales, Design & QA

  • Work with suppliers across the Globe

  • Track & identify market trends

  • Work with licensed products and understand licensing requirements


Experience


Previous buying experience ideally within the toy, gift or homewares industry, however experience within licensed products or wholesale will be considered

  • Extensive knowledge of products and supply chain

  • Knowledge of licensing

  • Accountability for company margins

  • Negotiation skills and the ability to network and influence people

  • Excellent communication skills, internal and external

  • Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook

  • Commercial awareness

  • Creative & design led
